SAUNA HEATER
Calcium deposits and water stains on the sauna heater can be brushed off with a brush. If you use your private sauna often, we recommend that you replace the sauna stones once a year.
BENCH
Make sure to use towels in the sauna to avoid stains. Wipe the seats and benches in the sauna with a damp cloth. If the benches are very dirty, you can occasionally sand them down with fine sandpaper (100 grit)
WALL PANELS
You can wipe the indoor panels with a damp cloth at regular intervals (once every six months or as needed). The wood in the sauna is extremely dry and therefore very sensitive to moisture. The wood paneling in the cabin and benches should therefore never be sprayed with a water hose or pressure washer.
Exterior panels should also not be cleaned with a pressure washer or water hose.
THE FLOOR
If you have a wooden floor, vacuum the floor often and wipe it with a damp cloth. If you have a tiled floor, it should be carefully mopped with a damp cloth.
THE DOOR
Clean the sauna's glass surfaces and glass door with an environmentally friendly window cleaner. Wipe the wooden frames with a damp cloth. Check the screws on the door handles and adjust them if necessary. Apply oil to the door hinges regularly.
SALT WALL
The weather, slate and humidity levels affect the physical state of the salt. Due to the humidity, the salt crystallizes and from time to time it will slide down the salt wall and collect on the floor and benches. These salt crystals can be removed with a brush. Moderate air circulation in the sauna is important for the condition of the salt wall. Salt is a disinfectant in itself and therefore does not need additional cleaning.
ATTENTION!
Make sure to inspect your sauna regularly and air it out after cleaning and use. Avoid
the use of strong chemical cleaners. Never use a water hose or other
pressure washing inside or outside the wooden panels or sauna benches. This
also applies to the floor inside the sauna. Please note that warranty claims for the entire
sauna will be void if a pressure washer or water hose has been used inside the
sauna. Please call us if you have any further questions regarding cleaning!
If you experience any problems, our team from INUA will be happy to provide
you with professional advice and quick assistance.
